Are you an active user of twitter, and use an iPad to tweet your friends? Then it’s good news for you all. Twitter released a new update to their popular Twitter application that makes it a Universal app with native support for the iPad’s large display. While native support has been a long requested feature for the official Twitter app, the company has also implemented a number of new interface features that seem quite natural on the iPad’s large screen.

The App’s features include use of movable Panes that allow you to actively manipulate content around the screen. Panes can be swiped left/right to move to cover or expose other panes and works surprisingly well.

The Twitter app also incorporates multi-touch gesture support to provide useful but more hidden functionality. Pinch-zoom can be used on a tweet to get more details about the user. Meanwhile, two-finger drag down on a tweet instantly shows the previous replies.

If you’re a regular Twitter user then this is a must do app for you, but even if your not a regular user of Twitter its worth giving it a try.

The Apple’s annual media event which took place yesterday was a whole lot of fun and i am sure it did not disappoint anybody. We predicted earlier as to what would be the new product launches in the media event, and we almost got everything right except for a new version of the iPod Shuffle.

Steve said this year had the strongest line of iPod refreshes ever, this is a music event and so we have to give prime importance to music, he added.

Apple yesterday introduced a number of new products most of which we predicted earlier:

All New iPod Models: Shuffle, Nano and Touch

The all new iPod shuffle is a combo of second and third generation, looks like the second-generation, but a little smaller. It has buttons and playlists, as well as voiceover. There’s the clip of course, and the hold switch on the top Comes in five colors, sells at $49 for 2GB.

The new iPod nano is 46% smaller, 42% lighter, it also has 24 hour battery life. It can do all the typical stuff: playlists, albums, nike plus, radio. It would sell for $149 for 8GB, $179 for the 16GB version

The all new iPod touch is the #1 portable game player in the world, Steve said. New iPod touch is thinner and has a retina display in it like the iPhone also a Front-facing camera and FaceTime. Three models: 8GB for $229, 32GB for $299, and a 64GB for $399.

Apple also launched the new iTunes 10 yesterday in the music event; the logo of the iTunes has been changed. New iTunes would have Ping, Ping is for “social music discovery” You can follow and be followed. iTunes 10 is available from yesterday.

Steve Jobs also launched a second-generation Apple Tv, and said it would be Tiny. It’s a fourth the size; you can hold it in the palm of your hand. It’s also black and comes with the new Apple remote. Steve also spoke about 99 cents TV show rentals and demoed it. Price is $99 for new Apple TV. New Apple TV is available later this month, about 4 weeks from, he added.

Steve jobs once again reviews the stuff talked about today, and says Coldplay is going to play now, everyone is cheering really loudly. Then he says Oh wait, maybe just Chris Martin.

Chris Martin performs, the audience cheer like crazy. Steve is back, thanking everybody for coming. He then gets a standing ovation with applause from the audience.

Steve once again thanks everyone and asks them to stay tuned on the site for pics and observations.

Steve now starts talking about iPod nano, it’s 46% smaller, 42% lighter he says. He also says the new nano has 24 hour battery life.

Steve is describing what cool stuff you can do on the new nano. All the typical stuff: playlists, albums, nike plus, radio (which was introed a few revisions ago). He then demos a nano, and says it would sell for $149 for 8GB, $179 for the 16GB version.Steve then starts talking about the iPod touch, It’s the “most popular iPod” he says.  It’s the #1 portable game player in the world and it’s contract-free, unlike the iPhone (audience laughs). New iPod touch is thinner and has a retina display in it like the iPhone also a Front-facing camera and FaceTime. Three models: 8GB for $229, 32GB for $299, and a 64GB for $399. Steve says this is the strongest lineup of iPods.

This is a music event, where we unveil cool music products, now moving onto iPods, Apple has sold 275 million iPods he said.
