How to Backup your iPhone Notes

Here are the instructions to assist you to backup and also edit iPhone’s notes using iPhoneNotes.

Step 1.
You need to download iPhone notes and select it to your Desktop

Step 2.
Double click the download file to mount it.

Step 3.
Drag the iPhoneNotes icon into your Applications folder then double click it to launch the application.

Step 4.
If asked click the Open button to launch the application.

Step 5.
The iPhoneNotes application will load.

Step 6.
Conveniently you do not need to connect your iPhone to the dock. Just make sure you have OpenSSH installed then click the Load/Save Notes button.

Step 7.
A tray will slide from the left side of the application window. Select your iPhone from the list of devices, enter root as the Username, enter alpine as the Password, then click the Load button.

Step 8.
You will be asked to confirm the loading of notes. Click the Download from iPhone button. This will load all your notes from the iPhone into the application.

Step 9.
You can now make changes to the notes and save them back to the iPhone. You would do this by press the Save button in the left tray.

Alternatively, if you would like to backup your iPhone notes to the computer then click the Backup button on the toolbar.

You will be asked where you would like to save the notes to. Enter a name and location then click the Save button.

Step 10.
If you have problems with your iPhone and have lost the notes saved on it then you can open iPhoneNotes and click the Restore button.

You will be asked to locate the previous backup of your notes. Do this then click the Open button.

Once your notes are displayed in the application you can click the Save button in the left tray to save the notes back to your iPhone.
When asked to confirm the save click the Upload to the iPhone button.

Step 11.
Another neat feature of this application is its ability to change the color of the text in your notes. Simply highlight the text you would like to set the color of and click the Colors button.


A color wheel will open which allows you to select the desired color.

Tutorial on how to use Chronus

Here are the steps that has to be followed in-order to use chronus.

Step 1.

The first step require you to launch Chronus by tapping its icon on the SpringBoard.

Step 2.
After the Chronus opens, a list of all the different items will be display which can be backup.

Tap to select an item you would like to backup.

Step 3.
Now we are at a blank Calendar list. Select the backup button at the top right hand corner of the screen.

Step 4.
Notice now a new restore point will be created. Press the blue arrow on the restore point to view the data saved for backup.

Step 5.
Press the button at the top left to return to the restore point list.

Step 6.
Press this restore point to view the functions associated with it.

Step 7.
A popup will appear asking what you would like to do with the restore point. You can Restore, Delete, or Email the restore point. In this example, the Restore button is selected.

Step 8.
You can now return to the list of items for backup by pressing the Chronus button at the top left. Or if you would like to email yourself the backup, press the restore point.

Step 9.
Then press Email from the popup menu that appears.

Step 10.
Mail will open with the backup as an attachment. You can now send it to any email address you like.

Here are the steps that has to be followed in-order to install and utilize Chronus to create backups of your iPhone.

Please remember that Chronus is a 3rd party application for your iPhone and iPod Touch.

Step 1.
The first step require you to tap in-order to launch Cydia from your SpringBoard, select the Sections tab which you can find at the bottom right of the screen.

Step 2.
Now press to select Utilities.

Step 3.
Press to select Chronus from the list of packages.

Step 4.
Press the Install button(top right hand corner of the screen).

Step 5.
Press the Confirm button at the top right hand corner of the screen.

Step 6.
After the installation is completed successfully press the Return to Cydia button.

Tap the Home button to return to your SpringBoard. You will notice a new Chronus icon on your springboard.

Here are the steps that has to be followed in-order to install and utilize TimeCapsule to create backups of your iPhone.

Remember that TimeCapsule is a 3rd party tool for iPhone and iPod Touch.

Step 1.
The first step requires to launch Installer from your SpringBoard.

Step 2.
Now tap to select section which you can find at the right side of the screen.

Step 3.
Tap Edit button at the top right hand corner of the screen.

Step 4.
Press the Add button.

Step 5.
Enter http://repo.databinge.com as the source address then press the large OK button

Step 6.
Press the Done button.

Step 7.
Select the Install tab at the bottom of the screen.

Step 8.
Select Utilities from the list of Categories.

Step 9.
Press to select TimeCapsule from the list of Packages.

Step 10.
Select the Install button at the top right hand corner of the screen.

Step 11.
Press the large red Install button that appears.

Step 12.
After the installation is complete you will be returned to the Categories

Menu. Press the Home button to return to your SpringBoard. You will notice a new TimeCapsule icon on your SpringBoard.
