Here Letemsvetemapplem.eu has posted a series of videos providing some direct comparisons between the iPhone 4 and 4th generation iPod Touch. The name for the first one is a speed boot test between the iPad, iPhone 4, iPod Touch and iPhone 3GS. It shows the iPad booted the fastest of the bunch but that’s not conclusion.

Again the interesting things about the video is the embedded (above) showing the differences in the display angles between the iPhone 4 and the 4th generation iPod Touch. Moreover, the new iPod Touch does contain a retina display but it is not the same high quality display found in the iPhone 4. The iPhone 4 uses an IPS display which offers better viewing angles.

In addition the site also provides a side-by-side comparison of the iPhone 4 and iPod touch taking video

Old Apple TV without new Apple TV features

I am quite sure many of you are unhappy about the new Apple TV features which will not be available in old Apple TV. Even Ars Technica has confirmed about this whole episode. Moreover, Apple spokesperson has said that the maximum HD resolution of the Apple TV is 720p, consistent with recent rumors. It was also added that there will be no software update to bring the new features to older Apple TVs. Older Apple TVs will continue to work as they have been working up to that point, and they will continue to be able to purchase movies and TV shows even though the new Apple TV is rental-only.

It got every reason to stand as that the old Apple TV runs a variation of OS X (Tiger) on Intel and the new one runs a variation of iOS 4 on Apple A4 and Apple probably don't want to devote any resources to making a distinct update to a now dead system.
Now for those who preferred to be able to sync and buy their media on-device won’t be shedding any tears or trying to avoid any updates that take those features away.

gift_surpriseBlacksmithgames.com is in good mood this year and offers free applications every day from december 1th until december 22nd. But wait, if it’s an advent calendar, why doesn’t it count to 24?

There is of course a reason, and it is that they will announce “other great surprises” these two days. What they are, can we just wait and see, since this is one of those advent calendars where you cannot just open all flaps at once, like those with chocolate.
