Some problems with iPad 2 backlight and LCD Screen has been reported.

Some iPad 2 users are reporting problems with their screens. Yellowish spots are appearing under the LCD screen on some new iPads, but this may not be a big concern as one may think.

The same thing happened with some iPhone 4s that were bought around its launch day last year. The problem ended up going away eventually as the bonding agent used to hold the screen to iPhone’s body evaporated.

With the passage of time the heavy word ‘computer’ got smaller and smaller and along with the dwarfing of this oversized word computer which I am not able to pen down anymore laptops came into the picture, what was our reaction? this is it! You can’t make a laptop smaller than this perhaps we all were wrong because with the new magical invention iPad the amount of energy thrusted upon in the gizmo world has been breathtaking.

This iPad at its very launch set up a shocking recording of sales which revealed “A Sale in every 3-seconds” in US and even in UK iPad was sold in every 5-minutes. iPad came with a price of $450 and above. In the US alone 80 millions iPads were sold in a span of just 80 days in the month of june itself. You can observe that the iPad is even smaller than your normal diary notebook in terms of thickness, length and size altogether but it a work which is equal to a laptop, several notebooks, a house, an office and almost everything under the sun.

When the release of the iPad people all around have shown multiplied amazement for the product because of top engineered finishing, innovative feel and awesome friendliness. Who would have thought that one day we would be using this kind of smart technology and such a massive compression in a small tablet called the iPad.

Boy Genius got the iPhone4 and just now reported what iPhone4 is all about. So, folks iPhone4 is up and you can compare the screen, display, shape, size, weight, width and everything possible but don’t forget to compare one thing more, which is? Whom does Apple like more Gizmodo or boyGenius.
Thanks Boygenius for posting the hands on experience.

Apple’s iPhone simulator built into Xcode is nice, but it doesn’t completely replicate the actual feel of playing with an iPhone (not to mention that things like multitouch and accelerometer info can’t be tested on screen). Enter iSimulate, a new app from a company called vimov. In conjunction with a program on your Mac, it allows you to take the input (including multitouch and accelerometer) of an iPhone, and wirelessly connect it to an app running on your monitor. The effect, as you can see above, is basically an iPhone controlling a big-screen app.

Which has all sorts of possibilities. Developers can use it to both test and show off their apps, which is nice. But perhaps more importantly, (assuming it works smoothly — we haven’t tested it yet) it will let people use apps on their big screen monitors. Playing on the iPhone’s screen is fun and all, but wouldn’t it be nicer to

at the same time?

The app might not quite be ready for that use quite yet — not only is the app for your Mac called an “SDK” (which definitely means it’s meant for developers, not gamers), but the price might be prohibitive as well. They launched it at $2, and the price is going up exponentially (it’s now $8) until it arrives at its final price of $32. But this is definitely a great idea. And it if happens to be popular even at that price (for consumers and developers), we wouldn’t be surprised to see Apple finally “get it” in terms of bringing some of the App Store’s offerings to their own big screen.

I know, I know iPhone can get boring. Every time you see the same springboard, every time you see the same wallpaper when somebody is calling you. Yeah , you can install themes, and that can inject some rainbows and butterflies on your iphone, but how cool would it be if you would have a video background on your springboard? And how would you like to have a video ringtone?

That would be badass huh? Well, in a few painless steps, you can have all of that. Check this :

  • open cydia
  • search for vWallpaper
  • install vWallpaper ( now, before you tap confirm make sure it will install vWallpaper and SkrewCommon. By default it does, but, if you wont get a 8-9 megs download and a new icon on your springboard make sure u install SkrewCommon as well ) ( how can u make sure that by installing vWallpaper you install both : well on the confirm screen check what message you get under Modifications – Installing )

That’s it , congrats. Videos are available for download from within the application, along with video ringtones. Also, you may use videos downloaded from MxTube. You can manually upload videos that you want to use via SSH. Just upload any .mp4 file onto

/private/var/mobile/media/Skrew/vRingtones

or

/private/var/mobile/media/Skrew/VWBackground

Just to make sure :

upload .mp4 videos for ringtones in /private/var/mobile/media/Skrew/vRingtones
upload .mp4 videos for background in /private/var/mobile/media/Skrew/VWBackground

NOTE :

  • You must disable User Wallpaper in Winterboard for it to display
  • If you got a theme, you must :
  1. ssh onto iphone and delete or rename that theme’s wallpaper
  2. use Mobile Finder, and rename the file
