An updated version of UltraSn0w has recently been released on Cydia. It seems to support the iPhone firmware, iOS 5.0.1.
Users who wish to unlock iOS 5.0.1 will need an unlockable baseband to utilize UltraSn0w. However, those who meet the requirements can now possible to unlock their iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS and iPhone 4 while running iOS 5.0.1.

iH8sn0w has released SnOwbreeze 2.7, which supports an untethered jailbreak for iOS 4.3.2 and supports the following devices:
- iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, Verizon iPhone
- iPod touch 4G, iPod Touch 3G
- iPad
Sn0wbreeze 2.7 doesn’t support iPad 2. Sn0wbreeze 2.7 also allows users to enable four and five finger multitouch gestures that are only available to developers of iOS developer program.
Please note that the ultrasn0w fix currently supports iPhone 4 baseband 01.59.00 and iPhone 3GS basebands 04.26.08, 05.11.07, 05.12.01, 05.13.04 and 06.15.00.
Please note that iPad, iPod Touch and iPhone users who don’t care about unlocking are better off using Redsn0w as one doesn’t need to preserve baseband like iPhone users.

Sn0wbreeze 2.6. has been released by iH8sn0w that allow Verizon iPhone 4 users to jailbreak their iPhone on iOS 4.2.7.
According to iPhonehacks:
“Last week Sn0wbreeze 2.6 was released to allows GSM iPhone users who want to jailbreak and also unlock their iPhone to update their iPhone with a pre-jailbroken iOS 4.3.2 firmware while preserving the baseband from getting upgraded so that it can be unlocked using Ultrasn0w.”
Here are the following information provided by iH8sn0w in the release notes:
“Well, after i0n1c released his untether exploit for 4.3.1, Apple shortly pushed out 4.3.2 AND 4.2.7. i0n1c’s payload was ported over to 4.3.2 in a short period of time but not 4.2.7. This made Verizon users very frustrated.”
“I originally ordered a Verizon iPhone 4 for my upcoming SHSH blobs dumper. Then I + many others on twitter realized that an untether was not available for 4.2.7. Over the past few weeks, I’ve been sick and didn’t do much, but today I was finally able to get the strength to work on this Verizon untether. Since i0n1c’s payload is not easily reversible, I went to previous exploits.”
After trying, pod2g’s + posixninja’s kernel exploit for 4.2.x is STILL in
4.2.7! After some more work, I managed to get this thing untethered!
So, this new release includes that new payload to untether + jailbreak 4.2.7.
Sn0wbreeze 2.6.1 supports an untethered jailbreak for iOS 4.3.2, iOS 4.2.7 for following devices like GSM Phone 4, Verizon iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPod touch 4G, iPod Touch 3G and iPad 1.

Tutorial on how to unlock the iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, and iPhone 3G. After unlocking your device it can work different GSM cellphone carrier using UltraSn0w. This will work with the iOS 4.2.1 firmware if you are on the 06.15.00 baseband.
Here are the steps that need to be follow;
Step 1.
First you need to launch Cydia Installer from your SpringBoard.
Step 2.
Press to select the Manage tab at the bottom of the screen
Step 3.
Press to select the large Sources button
Step 4.
Press to select repo666.ultrasn0w.com from the list of user entered sources.
Step 5.
Press to select ultrasn0w from the list of packages
Step 6.
Press the Install button at the top right of the screen.
Step 7.
Press the Confirm button at the top right of the screen.
Step 8.
After installation completes successfully press the large Restart Springboard button.
Step 9.
You should now be able to insert the SIM of your choice.
The media and the news will be incomplete without Apple rumors and so this week’s reports of an ‘iPhone 5′ and a small-screen iPad were heard. Rumors are going on that Apple will come up with an LTE handset next and believes one analyst pushing the firm to jump as some of its increasingly powerful rivals and target early LTE movers like Verizon.
Earlier Ashok Kumar of Rodman & Renshaw has published a research note saying that the iPhone 5 would include LTE and would give Qualcomm an entry to the firm. They believe the company has selected Qualcomm as its modem supplier for the CDMA iPhone as well as for the iPhone 5.
According to Ashok Kumar, the iPhone 5 will likely use a two-chip modem and also allowing the company to create 3G and 4G products.
